LOGO DESIGN

THE PROCESS

Creating a brand for your company is streamlined into linear steps starting with industry research and brainstorming to the competition a full identity package for use in any media. Take a journey into the creative process from beginning to end. The samples below were created for a Mortgage Broker based out of Denver, Colorado with four main goals in mind. 1. Relate to home buyers 2. Relate to people from the Mid West 3. Relate to saving money and security 4. Be different but not extreme.

1. RESEARCH & BRAINSTORMING

Our process starts with research for a better understanding of of the industry and competitors. We look into other companies that have similar goals and why they work. Knowing the competition can start the deduction process and stem ideas that will set your identity apart from others while learning from others success. Research and brainstorming exercises help the creative process of choosing a business name that has visual and textual integrity. We help our customers to think outside the box without veering away from what works in the industry.

* Be unique and clever
A logo is what helps distinguish a brand from its competitors, so it’s important that the image stands out from the rest — something many brands struggle with. “What’s important is to create something that you believe is different from anything already out there”

* Understand the brand
Yes, a logo is an image, but it’s also an introduction to a brand. The logo must reach a specific audience and when designing, you must keep this in mind ; perhaps even create a mood board with imagery that reminds you of the brand’s ideology

* Color is key
When taking the brand’s personality into account, you have to think about every aspect of the image. Bright and bold colors may grab someone’s attention, but could also seem brash; muted tones exude sophistication, but could be overlooked. Every color has a different implication and can bring nuance to your message

* Keep it easy and flexible
It’s important to have a balanced combination of simple and quirky — you want your logo to be interesting, but you don’t want someone to have to sit and stare.
